FIRST OFF...don't follow the advice from the guy on "youtube" that is dressed in the RED jumpsuit.... YOU don't need to drain the transmission...or remove the brake lines.... here is what i did ..this was on the RIGHT side of my 2012 Ford Focus... (i was doing this on my 4 post lift..so MUCH easier)... get the wheel OFF the ground... DON'T put your jack under the lower "A" arm... let it hang...and don't really need to lift the whole vehicle.. so with the RIGHT side MUCH higher that the drivers side.... you WON'T lose any trans fluid... remove the BIG nut on the CV axle...remove the bolt/nut that holds the strut to the lower A arm...then take a LONG pry bar...and pry the A arm away from the stut.. (it took several tries for me to get it sperated)....take a "flat" punch and "smake" the hell out of the CV shaft where the NUT was... should pop back alot... pull the strut as far out as you can and swing it to the rear of the car... remove the two nuts that hold the center retaining clip (13mm)... i pushed from there and the old CV shaft dropped right out.... reverse to put it back together...
