I've enjoyed this CD player a lot more than I expected too. The sound is decent, but the portability is top-tier.This has been super useful to keep near our CD collection with isn't near our main CD player to be able to quickly throw something on while organizing or going through the collection. It's also nice to be able to take this from room to room while listening and doing housework. It's been incredibly easy to use and I haven't had any real issues with it. Only negatives, which are minor, have been that it doesn't sit perfectly flat with the built in rubber feet (easy fix) and the volume only goes to 16 (wish it could go a bit louder) and when it gets to 16 it beeps if you try to turn it higher.Overall, I wold highly recommend this CD player - nice quality, looks great and is a good value for the money.

The text on included manual is impossible to read without a strong magnifying glass. There are too many details to just try to schlep through. Other than that I haven't tried it out yet

Depending on what you are looking for, this CD player is either a nicely designed and versatile music player, or a frustrating near miss. The player looks surprisingly nice and will fit in really well with modern/minimalist decor. I think the look is their biggest win. It has built in speakers but also works really well with external speakers. It feels pretty good too though it isn't a premium/luxury feel. It isn't especially loud, but if you want to use CDs to play background music in an office or living space it's a nice looking solution that also gives the ability to use it unplugged. If you want to upgrade the sound, you can use the AUX output or S/PDIF output to connect to an amplifier, powered monitors, or other sound system. You can also use the Bluetooth output to connect to external speakers or headphones. All of that is good and if that's what you are looking for this could be a nice solution. It can work as an FM receiver if that's something you want.If you don't want to swap CDs all the time it will also play MP3s from a USB thumb drive. But that's where I think many people will hit the first limit. You'll probably want to pair your phone to it and use it as a Bluetooth speaker. Nope - can't do that. Or you might want to use it as speakers for your computer. Nope - doesn't have audio inputs. It is strictly a sound source. For me, the inability to use it as a Bluetooth speaker eliminates most of the value of the built in speakers. The lack of an AUX input knocks out most of the rest. There are times when I want to play CDs, but there are also times when I want to stream music from my phone. To accomplish either of those, I'll need to buy a different speaker solution. Once I have that, I don't need this CD player to have speakers. Yeah, it's still useful to be able to play CDs or MP3s but I don't always want to be retro. Now, if you already have a sound system and want to hook a CD player to it, this works well. It has analog and digital (S/PDIF optical) outputs. But to be honest at that point you are left with this still looking nice but that's it.There are some cases where unplugging it and using it in another room, or outdoors, can be nice. And it can be nice to be able to play music during power outages. But if they had given us an AUX input or the ability to pair with a phone and work as a Bluetooth receiver it would be so much more useful as a starter sound system.

This TAGBUIO Portable CD Player for Home has a 2.4-inch LCD Screen Display and Rechargeable Battery, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Flash Drive Play, AUX Output for Stereo Speakers, Headphones, or Amplifier (place the volume at 0 and adjust from there for adequate sound) and sounds great. The digital volume control goes up to 16, but the real volume increases don't occur until 12. It gets loud enough for background music, but is not going to fill a room with sound even at full volume, but i don't think that's what this standalone CD player is designed to do.If you want to incorporate this player into a larger audio system, you'll need to take the supplied 3.5mm cable and connect it to a small amp (or get a cable that changes the 3.5mm jack to stereo RCA jacks. This is what I bought it for. Actually, I incorporated an inexpensive but excellent DAC, using the TosLink output, then into an amp feeding small speakers. The Toslink output is very good and works very well with the DAC.For the money, with or without using this TAGBUIO Portable CD Player in a larger stereo system, the sound is very good and, for the small size, produces adequate bass for passive, background listening. It contains a 4,000 mAh battery, which the manual states should give about 4 hours of CD playing time. It doesn't mention playing time if you use it as an FM receiver (which I tested and mine performs well, despite other reviews), a USB Flash Drive Player, or as a Bluetooth receiver/player. I am very happy with the unit's sound, its ability to be used in a larger stereo system, and the variety you can use it to play music. FOr me, it's an excellent musical value.
