1st one i bought lasted a handful of fishing trips then failed broken down slowly. The second one i bought and put it on ran fine on test run then on 10/5/2024 fished a tournament run made about 5 separate runs about a mile apart.The very next weekend tried to go out that Saturday No spark at all. I have a 200Hp Johnson venom talk with a guy who has a 225Hp Johnson he said he went thru3 of them before getting on that worked. I WONT BUY ANOTHER ONE VERY DISAPPOINTED ZERO CONFIDENCE IN ONE WORKING LONG TERM. SAD TO SPEND THIS KIND OF MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT FAILED SO FAST..would give Zero stars if I could so consider 0 for me I'm out

My outboard was not getting spark, I spent the timetroubleshooting it and came up the igniter being the problem. Replaced the OEM unit with this moor affordable one and voila! Strong spark returned!!!

Perfect on the Evinrude 225, check your exact wiring for the plugs, misfired plugs 1-2, 3-4, once I swapped them she runs like a champ, if you go by cable length it will get you, isn't what it seams for the plug wires.
