Good quality, easy to install, works as intended. Once your flywheel puller is installed on the flywheel, give the flywheel a strong hit with with a “big rubber mallet”. Do not hit your flywheel with a hammer.

Bought this because I didn’t have spark. Finally chased down my problem to a water pump impeller dragging and keeping the driveshaft from spinning fast enough to spark. It did work good though.

The port engine on my boat has never started as quickly nor run as strong as the starboard one. I finally got tired of nursing my flacid Johnson along and so replaced the OEM stator with this CDI unit. Now when I hit it, it's up and running. I just replaced the stator on the other engine with the CDI unit as well. Now both my Johnsons are up and going strong.

When unboxed one of the wires were undone for a pin and was just hanging free! I was able to get the wire in the hole and touch the pin but now i have to buy a new pin to make this work!

Per description, this part was to replace part # 584560 for a 50 hp 2005 Johnson and included the cover. Upon receiving, it is incorrect. It is a 5 wire plug and the original part is 3 wire. Also, the cover was not included as stated.
