I have a 1985 Mariner 25HP Electric start Short shaft 1985 Outboard 25 [E] - 7025505I had a bad stator, purchased this one. Ohm test checked out correctly. The wires were shorter than my original but it fit fine. Put the Flywheel back on gave it a spin and I know have Spark!I will update this review in 6 months when I can try the engine on the water.-andy

Well I got this part in a pinch, but I prefer OEM parts for my boat. So far it has worked, for how long now will be the real question. Seeing as how it's the end of the season I won't be using the boat much but if anything changes in the spring I will add to this review.Update. This lasted 3 months, so now it's time to use an OEM part.
