This double action clip does not claim to be locking so I'm not knocking it for this. I'm just making note of this because any such device used for emergency and rescue is supposed to be a triple action locking device. Additionally, it takes very little movement on the action for you to open the gate.It is very well constructed and I found no issues in workmanship or quality. It is much lighter than the typical steel ones that come on fall harnesses, but have the same functionality.
