This cello is beautiful, seems sturdy enough, but is absolutely unplayable. The bridge - which we had installed by my sons orchestra teacher - does not align with the instrument so it will not tune correctly. There were no notches for the strings. It was not tall enough to lift the strings enough to keep them from touching the neck of the instrument.I reached out to customer service and they initially seemed helpful by asking for pictures to send to the technician. I did, then was asked for measurements down to the millimeter of the bridge so it could be... recut?? I asked how a new bridge m, with the same measurements, would be beneficial. How could I possibly get accurate measurements as a layperson who doesn't play? I have yet to receive a response a week later as to how I am to measure and get this fixed. So now I have a useless $500 beautiful piece of wood.

The first cello I received had a broken string and a crack in the body. I figured this was because the shipment went through probably 3-4 cold to warm weather changes. The second one arrived in good condition. The sound post had dropped so I figured out how to position it with the metal handle of a chinese take-away container. The sound is pretty good- bright tones most of the time. the pegs take a bit of force to secure. The "hard" case isn't what I imagined. It's a semi hard case that the seams rip after a couple months. I had to restitch the velcro to the bow holders. and the handles on the case are ripping. the bow screw became stripped after a 3-4 months but the actual company sent a replacement that looked to be used but more sturdy than the original.so if you are looking for a reasonably priced starter instrument this works really nicely. You'll have to upgrade some things like the case and bow, but that's pretty normal I feel.

Very low quality. Glue are out , bridge is too low causing strings are too close to the figure board, bow is too heavy.

After a week--and not heavy use, mind you--the freaking stick + string thing broke. Pardon my language I do not use this, it's for my sister. The horse stick string thing just straight up came undone. I wanted to return it, but I remembered my dad's too rich for his own good and he paid for it so I dont' really care.

Very good value. Expect to visit a luthier to make some minor adjustments. On mine, the fingerboard wasn’t planed exactly right, which caused the two lowest strings to rattle. It was easily remedied by replacing the bridge. I’ve played on a $1400 cello and a $700 cello before, and this Cecilio sounds much closer to the $1400 one after that fix and some better strings. The hard case is a must! I highly recommend it as a beginner’s cello, but be aware there’s a bit of a gamble.

For the price you really can't get a better deal! the shipping was super fast! I got it the next day of ordering. The first thing you'll see is a huge box! There's the hardcase and in the side the free stand and the cello bag. The hard case seems very fragile it is styrofoam from the inside glued together as padding. On the outside the texture feels like a cello bag, also the wheels are not that strong so they wobble. The cello came with the bridge tied to the neck of the instrument in a beautiful manner. The instrument came in perfect condition no cracks of any sort. There are some small cosmetic imperfections but are hard to notice. Setting up the bridge was easy but having the bridge shaved would help get a better tone quality and avoid a warped bridge. The tunning pegs slip so the peg holes habe to be shaved for smoother tunning. The fine tuners work like any standard fine tuners. The strings are really bad. You'll be disappointed by the sound quality and the really thin caliber of strings that feel like viola strings. I suggest d'addario prelude strings, because they're inexpensive and sound and play great! You'll be surprised how much the quality chabges with the new strings! The bow came warped and it looks like a 3/4 now which it probably is, but the bow works. A better bow would really help you play. The rosin is also not rosin for cello. Overall the instrument is a great buy!!! Looks beautiful!!
