Much lighter in weight, better for environment, non toxic. Use less then traditional DE powders. Pool service technician recommended.

Like everything else, the price of this Perlite has gone up. It used to only cost about $25 for 12 lbs. Now its up to $36 but Amazon has the best price. DE is NOT biodegradable. This Perlite will break down and can safely go to a landfill. It will also filter down to 3-5 microns compared to sand at 20-40 microns.
