TL-20 Travelite Deluxe Bowed Cases Traveling to and from the gig or lesson with an instrument can not only be dangerous for the instrument itself, but equally as hard on the player. Carrying a heavy case in addition to the instrument can often make even the shortest journey more difficult and can affect the performance. Travelite bowed instrument cases successfully blend the most modern materials available with traditional tried and true designs to make some of the lightest, most durably constructed instrument cases on the market today.

Pour protéger mon violoncelle, je l’ai reçu une journée d’avance et le livreur l’a laissé dehors devant la porte !,,,

The zipper on the outside pocket broke within 2 months of purchase. The zipper stitching unraveled and the zipper pull fell off. Since this was a holiday gift, it wasn't used until the second week in January and didn't even make it through February before it broke. Amazon would not return as it was less than two weeks outside of return window. I have contacted Travelite (located in Europe) and will update this review based on their reply. Hopefully their warranty will cover the issue.I won't recommend this cello case and I wouldn't advise purchasing something else. Trust me, it won't last.***Update*** After contacting Travelite customer service, their response was to go back to Amazon to assist with the issue. So they won't support their poorly made product and Amazon won't because it is out of return window. Dropping this review to one star because an additional piece has dislodged and fallen off since the first review and the lack of support/warrenty. This cello case is garbage - don't make the same mistake I did and buy it.***

The zip doesn't seem very good. I hope it has some kind of guarantee for that, I don't think that it will last long.It has no wheels, however the description says that it has. I might return it.In the overall looks ok.

I'm very pleased with this case! I was pretty nervous buying it online without getting to see it in-person, but my cello fits in nice and snug. There is a small interior box that I use to hold my rosin and rockstop...it may also be bog enough to hold extra strings, but I haven't tried. A previous reviewer complained about how the bow holder is placed, but I haven't had any difficulties with it. The outside pocket it also wide enough to hold wire-bound music books. The only two negatives for me are: 1) the wheels aren't the best as the case will wobble a bit if it's on an uneven surface, and 2) it seems like it could tip over somewhat easily. For this reason I keep it up against a wall whenever possible.Overall, I'm incredibly happy with this for the price!

Very light and sturdy case. The wheels are too close together to pull it smoothly. I would not trust to leave in the upright position to load and unload my cello. The clasp that "locks" the case can be easily pulled off the case, so not dependable. Otherwise, enjoying my new, lightweight case!!!

Great case for the money! The only negative on opening was it smelled like plastic. So, count on airing it out for a night. As you can see in the photos, the case looks great and it fit my Snow 4/4 cello perfectly. At first I was worried that it didn't fit properly because the endpin nestles into the bottom of the case. This case comes with a humidity indicator, lots of handles, two bow holds and wheels (for the 4/4 and 3/4 models). The only other negative is that the metal clasp closure (which automatically locks) is slipping out a little from the foam. Easy to fix with superglue, probably.

I purchased this case after my son managed to break the scroll off his rental cello. We were using the nylon 'gig' bag the cello came with and it just did not project the instrument as need through all the slippery winter weather. This beautifully made case does add bulk and weight. It is hard for my good sized 7-8 year old to manage. All the handles and strap options do help. We have the China made Amadeus cello and it fits perfectly. We have had a lot less tuning needed now that the pegs don't get bumped getting the instrument in and out of the vehicles.

Wow, a sturdy featherweight and lightweigh case for a 1/2 cello that certainly seals the deal as you certainly wouldn't want to bump into anything. While this particular one didn't have wheels I do have a separate dolly for it while...it's light enough to carry, lift and move around...and the dolly can certainly damage it with any bump....so you're better off carrying the case or just storing the cello here. I do love the humidity measuring device inside and that is a plus besides the case being spacious for my 1/2 cello and the storage compartment inside quite deep. If you have any larger bows which you may need for other pieces...ask your maestro you may need a separate carrying tube for those 4/4 bows (a 4/4 bow I think may be used for a 3/4 piece but perhaps for perfection you're better off with a separate 3/4).... However, the 1/2 bow is more than enough if you know how to use your bow properly and manage it properly (old ideas I am repeating...uufff, ufff...and off you go...fonzei....to loup, loop and lute and play the cello for the flute).

I bought this for my daughter almost a year ago, and have been very pleased with it. It's a perfect fit for her 4/4 Englehardt. The latch is pretty wimpy, but that doesn't really matter, since the case closes perfectly well with just the zippers and velcro closure. If you're buying this case to replace a zippered cloth bag, keep in mind that this case will be more bulky and unwieldy than what you are used to. Getting it into and out of the car can be a challenge! But I consider that a small price to pay for the peace of mind that comes from knowing my daughter's cello is well protected when she needs to bring it to school or take it on a bus for a school trip. It can be carried by the handle easily enough, or pushed on its wheels. We haven't tried the backpack straps, but they are rather thin unpadded straps that would probably not be comfortable for very long.As other reviewers have mentioned, it is not very stable in an upright vertical position, but that hasn't been a problem for us, since we never intended to store it in that position anyway.I should mention that this case is not used on a daily or even weekly basis, and I don't know how well it would stand up to hard use (I notice one reviewer was not pleased and needed to replace it in 6 months). There are probably sturdier cases out there, but for what we paid and for what our needs are, it has been more than satisfactory.

I bought it for my daughter almost 3 months ago. It was a fantastic purchase I ever made. Don't look at just 1 rating, that's not a true rating. It's supposed to be a 5 star rating. My daughter's cello teacher loves it. She said it looks so expensive so I told her we bought it from Amazon and how much we paid for it. She couldn't believe it! We were looking for a couple of months to search and compare from a couple of music stores. They are very expensive and not good as Travelite TL-20 3/4. I highly recommend this cello case. Thanks to Amazon we saved a lot of money.
