I throw pottery on a professional grade wheel, but I thought I'd pick this little one up for fun and maybe for glazing.The kit comes with a lot of little pottery accessories and even some air dry clay. I was impressed that if you buy this kit, there's plenty to get started with. The accessories seem pretty decent quality.Setting up and figuring out how to use the wheel was pretty straightforward. The knob controls the speed and the pedal or button or whatever it is is basically an on/off. The little plate/bat is really small and coated in a silver finish or paint. It can be removed for cleaning, which is nice.I haven't yet tried to throw anything on it, but I did put a finished bisque fired piece on it and used it to spin the piece while I glazed it with a brush. When I was done, cleanup was pretty easy. The motor was strong enough to turn the piece and it seemed to consistently spin. It feels like it's good enough quality to keep the frustration to a minimum if you're just playing around with it.

This pottery wheel is super cute. It’s smaller than I expected but it’s the perfect size for doing crafts. I’ve been wanting to get back into some basic pottery and this will do just fine. It’s definitely not professional level or for big projects, but for making some small cups or vases it’ll do just fine. Again, it’s pretty small so just keep that in mind. It’s smaller than the image made it seem which is why I’m not giving it a full 5 stars. Still works for my purposes.Great for kids or if you want to dabble with a new hobby.

I purchased this item from Amazon Australia and shipped to Australia. I would assume the plug for it would be the appropriate plug. Unfortunately, it came with a US plug socket and we cannot even try to use it. The write up should specify the plug. Furthermore, this was a gift from Santa... So I can't really return it. Very disappointed ☹️

Good for small hands.. but this is something that a guardian needs to help setup for younger kids. It’s fun but does get a little messy.
