The Centerforce Dual-Friction pressure plates feature our patented processes to provide a performance clutch that offers exceptional street characteristics, while offering outstanding holding-capacity and durability. The Dual-Friction disc has a full facing on the pressure plate side for drivability and longevity, while a carbon composite puc style facing is used on the flywheel side for a positive engagement and increased holding-capacity. Dual Friction is the ultimate in street or strip holding power and performance without sacrificing pedal effort and driver control. The patented Centerforce Dual-Friction disc system distributes pressure plate clamping force evenly over a 360-degree friction-facing on one side of the clutch disc, while the opposing side uses a segmented friction-facing to concentrate clamping pressure and maximize clutch holding-capacity. i have a 6L lq4 t56 combo in my rx7 with this clutch i really like it. it chatters loudly but its normal and does go away after awhile pedal feel is light and grsbs really hard 4th gear rubber all day. igood purchase

I had the Dual friction clutch (DF017010) installed in my 20000 Trans am cause my original one (the same one from the factory that was never replaced) was completely worn out. To make this review a little shorter I'll list the PRO'S and CON'S.PRO'S:1. After break-in (NORMAL DRIVING FOR 3 WEEKS!!!!) car shifts firm and you can REALLY feel the power getting to the rear tires.2. Shifts are SO smooth that when I drive on the highway I can't feel them even though I know I'm in the next gear.3. This clutch can handle 400RWHP without a problem and my launches from the starting line are quick and hard.CON'S:1. You have to buy a new throw out, pilot bearing (A MUST TO REPLACE!) because this kit only comes with the clutch and pressure plate.2. Even thought this IS a high performance clutch it is expensive compared to other ORGINAL PARTS (not high performance) that come with a clutch, pressure plate, pressure plate bolts, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, and new flywheel. I spent $200 more on parts that didn't come with the centerforce kit that I needed to get it installed right.3. All clutches NEED a break in but this one will give you a work out because my clutch pedal was REALLY hard and it chattered (shook and vibrated) loudly when I only gave in on the clutch pedal a little and can make some people worry. After normal driving even on the highway, this WILL GO AWAY after 3 weeks of driving!In my opinion I really like this clutch but my only complaint is that for all the parts you need to install it comes out to be a high cost but I if I had another choice I'd stay with CENTERFORCE!
