Few key points:1. This product isn't shipped assembled. Usually not a problem but the plastic tube is very flimsy and difficult to fit around the wooden bases. Even when I was able to fit the tube correctly the stand itself was too fragile and would collapse under the slightest movement.2. The plastic tube is not clear and scuffed up and cloudy. It isn't possible to resolve this by cleaning it by hand.3. For the price of this product (about $50) the quality is terrible. The wooden bases aren't bad but they are useless without the tube. Better off trying to make one yourself than deal with this.

This is very sturdy however not as see through as I had hoped for. I washed the plastic on both sides with soap and water and it is still foggy looking white in color. I wouldn't want to gift this to someonebecause I would be very disappointed to gift this to someone as you can't see through it as well. Not sure if I will be keeping this or not.Update: there is a plastic lining on the outside and inside of tube. Remove those and it is gift worthy. I am very happy I purchased this after all. I wasn't sure at first and upped my star level of this from a two to a 5. I would purchase again. It will be a great thing to help keep my child's belts all clean and show ready!!

I loved this so much, we have two! Easy to put together. My six year old loves putting his completed belts in this display case. Love it! And you will too!!

What an unbelievable piece of junk! Even if you get it to roll around the end caps, it’s bowed in the middle. It’s got a seam you’ll see until you get enough belts to completely fill it, and the seam and tabs make it nearly impossible to slide a belt down into it. The “wood” was chipped and bubbled! And you can’t pick it up without the belts and tubes falling apart !I’ve purchased some duds, but this was the first time ever buying something on Amazon so completely junk! Too bad Amazon doesn’t do any quality control.

I was really worried when I ordered this product because of the reviews but I love this cylinder! Yes, it's a plastic tube you easily put together and it is clear. There is a protective film on it, once you peel it off, the plastic is clear and is a beautiful display. It is easy to put the belts in, had no difficulty at all! I am so glad that I didn't listen to the reviews and purchased this display....extremely happy!!!

Amend my first review PLEASE!I wrote a review for the Cylinder before opening the damaged box. I was angry because the box stated what was inside and the box itself was damaged (not your fault the post office to blame). I have to say that once taken out and put together this is a beautiful Martial Arts Cylinder to display your very hard earned belts. I would recommend this HIGHLY! Again I was too fast with the first review and upset with the packaging. I would purchase this again as a gift for someone.I was not aware when I ordered this for a bday gift that the person would actually have to put it together. Also major disappointment was that the box had printing on it that stated what was inside. Aaahhh yes and the box was smashed in and therefore if you didn't read it on the box you could see it because the bottom of the box exposed it! Certainly not worth the money.

I read some other reviews that said this consists of two pieces of wood and a roll of plastic. Well, that's true, but it sounds pretty negative when you say it that way. It looks much better than that description implies. You know those martial arts belt displays that consist of several pieces of wood with bands that you use to attach each of the belts for display. Well, we've got four people in our house with black belts and so we've had several of those over the years and the bands always stretch out and the display ends up looking sloppy and the belts fall out. So, several years ago, I saw this one and decided to try it. We now have three of these, and we think they are the best looking way to display the belts that we have seen to date. I think they'll hold 11 belts, rather than the 10 it says in the literature, but I wish they sold one that held 2-3 more so you could get all the belts in there if you go beyond black belt for a couple more degrees. Also, when we bought the first one, we had an option to get a name put on the top piece of wood, which was really nice. They should offer that option all the time.

The display rack was shipped promptly and arrived just fine, but I thought the packaging was pretty flimsy.I had read some of the negative reviews, but decided to take a chance on the product anyway. I see now why people thought the item was cheaply constructed. Despite some of the comments about cheap construction, I assumed that the clear part was at least a rigid plastic cylinder. Not so. It's actually a thin sheet of plastic that is rolled into a tube shape. The sheet is rolled pretty tightly and you have to unroll it somewhat. You then insert some tabs on one end of the sheet into slots on the other side for it to form a cylinder.Once the cylinder is assembled, you simply place it over one of the wooden ends and then drop the other wooden end on top. As others have commented, there's nothing to connect the wooden pieces to the tube; they simply slide onto each end.I didn't have any trouble putting the belts into the tube. Once the belts are inside, it hides the "seam" where the ends of the plastic sheet connect to form the tube. So it actually looks OK. As long as you place the display rack where nobody can bump into it, It should hold together OK. So overall, it's an OK product, but a bit overpriced considering the cheap construction.
