I got this dish and it looks really nice. It's easy to clean and it's pretty solid despite being slightly light. I've used other similar dishes that are made to be used on the stove before, so I didn't even think about it and cooked with it on my gas stovetop. It worked out and didn't break, but I then saw it should NOT be used on a stovetop, especially over an open flame. I got lucky that I didn't ruin the dish but I wish there were some instructions with the dish to warn you. It was literally just a pot in a box.That said, it worked on a stovetop (but I won't risk it again) and works in the oven.

I'm delighted with this casserole dish; it's a beautiful piece. I plan to display it on an open shelf in my kitchen. Although we were once a large family, it's just the two of us now, and most of my baking dishes are still quite big—like Dutch ovens and 9x13" casserole pans. This dish is just the right size, holding slightly more than two quarts, which is perfect for a meal and possibly some leftovers. I especially value the included lid, which not only enhances its appearance when serving at the table but also retains heat, keeping the food warm for longer.

If you are a lover of ceramic casserole dishes/ servingware, then this is the baking dish deal of the year. I purchased the white 9 inch casserole, and it is perfection. I've been cooking in dishes like this for years, and can honestly say once you try one, you'll be sold on the difference in how your soups, bread, roasts, etc. taste when cooked in one of these. This pan rivals the French Branded one, and at a cost of close to $420 I'm sure you'd agree this casserole dish is an amazing bargain. I'm sold on this brand and hope to add more pans to my collection soon. Perfection!

This is a lovely, heavy duty, cast iron (body/lid), oven safe, meal-versatile, VERY AFFORDABLE, little mid-sized Dutch oven. This is perfect to bake artisan breads in because of the oven safe lid, any side dishes, casseroles, rice, -it’s just perfect! I might also mention, it fits perfectly nestled in any cabinet space or storage area. This is definitely an ideal & perfect kitchen companion for the single person or couple who needs to cook just the right amount. As a must-have pot, I declare this a must-have in my home!
