Very nice bowls. Took off one star because shipping material was skimpy and one bowl broke. But customer service was responsive and the issue was resolved quickly.

I think these bowls are of the perfect size for soups or cereal. They came well-packaged and, even though the box sustained some damage, the bowls inside had not a chip. They are pure white in color and would go well with any decor or other dishware. The bottom has a little 'pedestal-like' foot which makes it look a bit more classy to me. The first pic is of one bowl with a couple of tangerines inside to help you see the scale. All 6 bowls nest nicely in the cabinet for storage without taking up much space. For what they cost ($20 at this writing), they are an excellent deal for a set of larger soup bowls. Love that they are also microwave/dishwasher compatible as well.

Paige says:As someone who could eat soup seven days a week, I thought these bowls would be the perfect size, and they are. They fit neatly in my smallish hands and are just the right depth, not too shallow, with a nice, flared edge. The porcelain is quite attractive and is a creamy white color. They came very well packaged and were in great shape when they arrived. The only drawback I can note is that they came with no documentation, either in or on the box, and there are no markings at all on the bowls themselves. I have no idea if they are microwave safe or not – some glazed bowls have metallic particles in the glaze and get extremely hot in a microwave. I will test one, but I haven’t yet. That aside, they are quite nice, and I will enjoy using them at our next dinner party. (Oh, and that fourth attached picture? It reminded me of “Ghostbusters!”)David says:To Amazon’s credit, the product description on the website does make clear, even if the packaging doesn’t, that these bowls are indeed microwave-safe. Just to be sure, I performed the experiment by microwaving a bowl filled with water for two minutes. The result was hot water but a bowl you could still hold in your hands. These bowls are very well made, basic ceramic bowls that will work perfectly for soups, cereals, pasta and more. The bowls are large enough to feed anybody with the portions they can carry, and the bowls aren't as heavy as other ceramic bowls. The bowls are just right and I don't mind the plain look of them. The bowls were incredibly well packed and none of them chipped, cracked, or broke in transit. The bowls also work just fine in both the microwave and dishwasher without any issues. Overall, these will be the perfect bowls to suit any of your needs. You get 6 of them total and the value couldn't be any better. I highly recommend them.

Very nice gloss ceramic finish on these bowls. They're little smaller than I thought they would be. But they are a very nice design. Definitely! Stackable. Can't speak to the durability of the ceramic finish on these yet. Try not to hit them up against things because I don't know if they always stand shipping yet. But so far so good.
