I am a mobile DJ, I have always used Cerwin Vega speakers for their legendary bass. When switching to "Active" powered subs, I tested and listened to JBL, QSC, EV and even Behringer. After viewing some YouTube videos and reviews, I went to hear this puppy live. I was blown away, so much bass from a 15 inch compact sub-woofer. At 700 watts RMS continuous with 1400 watts peak (class D amplifier), it sounded better than my 18 inch passive sub-woofer (300 watts RMS with 1000 watts peak). I purchased a pair of these and it has been the best investment that I have ever made for my mobile DJ business. I can handle events from 50 people to 200 people, easy. Everything from house parties to grand ballrooms, these subwoofers make me sound so good that I get compliments at every event. I pair these with my Cerwin Vegas P1000X for small venues and P1500X for larger venues. I did purchase one CVA 18 inch subwoofer but, it's too heavy and easier for me to take the CVA 15 inch. You can't go wrong with Cerwin Vega, specially for bass.

This woofer pushed bass the neighbors can hear. It rattles stuff across the house. Better sounding with rock than rap, but not bad. Boom!!!

For a 15" Powered Sub, this speaker does damage! Worth the purchase, Highly recommended!

We use two of these in our church worship music (It is a big room with capacity for about 1,000 people). The subs sound great for kick drum. We use the cva28s on top. The 15" sound is not quite as "high and tight" as the dual 12" sub from QSC. This 15" sub has more of an 18" sub sound. I compared this to the QSC sub, a few models from JBL, Peavey, etc., and this model was best overall value.

I purchased this sub based on cerwin vega's great reputation and it turned out to be a great decision. bass is deep and beefy just like any CV sub and matches my style of play. i dj weddings and other mobile events that range from as little as 50 guests all the way up to about 250 and this sub realy helps (i typically have 2 mackie SRM450 tops with this sub). im saving now to get a second one for some added reinforcement with the bigger parties. one sub is great for mid size parties but when you pass 100-125 guests it would be nice to have the second one there for added effect. you cant go wrong with this sub! another plus is the size and weight... its nice and compact which i like since im sometimes limited on space and its not that heavy to carry on/off the van to the cart i use.
