Perfect size for me. Fits my gym shoes, socks, shirt and shorts. Side pocket allows my phone to be inserted and held. It will not hold a full-size towel if all of the above is included.

Really good bag with shoulder straps, strong material, rugged

I hate to give them "only" three stars but that's kind of what it deserves. When I opened the package with this bag, I was a bit surprised, it folded up into a quite small box but whatever, don't waste packing material. I looked at it and thought "This is what I need." Except when I started going to the gym with it, I promptly noticed there were no side handles. There is a strap on the end and there is a shoulder strap but if you just want to carry it like any other bag, that's not an option. There is a net pocket on one end and that's the only place to put stuff besides inside. I would expect to keep my keys and wallet inside the bag, out of sight but not lost with everything else but that is not an option (gee, there is a lot of that going around). The listing says "light weight." I can say it is made of heavy enough what looks like nylon and is lined so I think it will last. Meanwhile, it really is light enough. I have other bags that are made of super-industrial strength stuff that weight a ton. That's not the case with this. The zipper only goes one way. Is that a show stopper? No, just another annoyance. The construction is... ok... When I got it, there were a lot of loose threads but after I cut them off, no more appeared. I don't see any loose seams or anything.I can't say it is -bad-, it is just not overly good. It does the job but no more.

CAUTION: the shoulder strap buckles have sharp edges that almost cut my fingers! The buckle is made of thin sheet metal that is folded over and some edges are pointy or not smoothed down. Other buckles are more solid, rounded and smooth metal, or solid plastic.Material/construction: It is made of lightweight material - definitely not rugged or heavy material. The size is good for my gym trips - I can fit everything I need: shoes, pants, shirt, hoodie jacket, bag of snacks, tissues, and water bottle. I could have fit maybe one or two more pieces of clothing. There are two zippers on the main opening which adds versatility, and they feel like medium weight zippers - not too cheap. The inside does not have any pockets, it’s just one big opening. The mesh pocket on the outside end is useful for holding a water bottle for easy access, and for putting my headband in so that it can breathe and dry in the mesh. Conclusion: Other than the dangerous shoulder strap issue (I left it at home), I liked using the bag to go to the gym. It is a decent, simple, and light bag for the price. I have other bags that are bulkier with more pockets I don’t use, and so are heavier as well.

I was just looking for a fairly basic bag to take tot he gym, don't need anything duffel size, just need to take a few towels, an extra pair of shorts, shirt, socks, a combination lock, water bottle, things like that. Mostly for keeping in the vehicle when visits to the gym are more impromptu. With that said it does seem to fit the need. The inside does have a pocket or two and theres a pocket on the outside as well.I will say that the fabric does seem a bit 'sheenier' and perhaps more feminine than I was expecting, but it's fine. The ability to carry by the strap or also by the handle on the edge of the bag is nice. The reason for four stars is that some of the stitching does seem "loose" and frayed a bit, and it doesn't seem like something that will have significant durability... but for the price and for what I plan on using it for, I think it'll work fine.
