Nice working. However, my bearings were a little tight so I needed a bit more torque to spin the arm. Rats.

It runs smoothly but very noisy after about an hour!

I purchased this worm gear motor for a little project. It came in a plastic bag and is nice and small. I will write back if this does not last a year, but so far it seems like a great "little" find.

L'avevo preso per un progetto fai da te, funzionante e ben fatto è ancora lì che fa il suo dovere.

A 6 volt 115 rpm version was ordered a week later & arrived within 2 days. Excellent little gearbox for my R/C robotics project. The 12 volt gearbox was running late & has yet to be found…..

I'm using it with a lead screw to provide linear force. A simple DPDT (on-off-on) switch provides reversible motion. Gearbox looks like a robust build. It would be useful if they added an axial load limit to the spec. sheet (I ended up adding thrust bearings to the lead screw to protect the gearbox). I also bought one of the 10 RPM motors.

Motor is very quiet and its power consumption is remarkably low.

This heavy little unit is really solidly built and oozes quality. You get a metal housing with the top shaft sticking out the top that has a M3 internal thread. The motor has two small solder terminals, positive marked with a red dot.Wire it up to 12V and it will rotate clockwise at around once every two minutes. It's almost silent in operation and there's no vibration. It's got quite good torque, so as long as you balance it right, you'll have no issues.Reversing the polarity changes direction, and adjusting the voltage will affect the speed (within reason - I didn't want to over drive it, or run too low a voltage that it would burn out). There are M3 holes on the 'top' (same side as the shaft output) for mounting. Holes underneath would have been nice, or at least a flange or two.
