Super easy install and keeps the light out while providing some additional insulation. The shades quality is equal to shades at twice the price with smooth operation allowing the choice of fully open, just the top or just the bottom. The three layers really block the light too.

We love this blind, but we apparently ordered the wrong size...Installation is very simple, and the instructions are very simple. Operating the blind couldn't be any easier. Just pull down from the top to any point you want it to stop, Or, pull it all the way down, then pull the top upwards if you want a bottom-up blind (which we like). Or, you can have the blind settle somewhere in the middle.For the white blind that we received, the light filtering is very limited, but we wanted to use it in a bathroom, so that was never an issue.

“Instructions” on side of the box are very limited (only tiny pictures). They show two brackets that need to be drilled into the wall to support the shade, but the kit only comes with one (there’s another thing that I think is a bracket spacer??). None of these parts are explained. Also there’s a weird picture of a bar being bent on the side but I’m not sure what that means either. Shades are paper and I would imagine these are extremely easy to rip. These would not stay up long term if you put them up without the brackets, so it’s really not “no drill” or “no tool.”

It seems to be a very good quality product. The installation method is simple and very neat design. It is very useful that I can open not only the lower part but also the upper part. However, it is my first time ordering a blind to be installed inside of a window frame, and I realized that the inside of my window is not flat and is not suitable for installing this type of blind. I'm disappointed that I couldn't use this, but the product itself is worth recommending.

My engineer father taught me to be impressed by good design. Let me tell you - this cellular shade blows me away with it’s design.It is built on the same principle as a tension rod for curtains, but better. It meets both mechanical and esthetic demands. For a window shade of this caliber to be up and running in five minutes, no drill required, is awesome, truly awesome.The instructions are excellent with the exception of how to insert the little handle to pull the shade down from the top. I never did figure that out, but it doesn’t really matter. It’s not necessary. The tool for tightening the tension bolt is useless, but it doesn’t matter either because you can get it plenty tight enough just by turning it with your fingers. After tightening the tension mechanism a plastic piece that matches the rest of the header slides over it. I couldn’t quite get mine to slide all the way right, but that is not the fault of the shade; it is because of the way my windows are trimmed out. I was able to move it far enough to look just fine.I put this in my ultra feminine girly office where I do not need a shade for privacy - the curtains do fine for that, and during the day I love having the sunlight pouring in. However this particular window is directly behind me when I do online meetings, which causes a real problem on bright sunny mornings when light from this window is blazing. I had an ugly piece of cardboard in it to block the light. Needless to say, this shade is so much better. I can pull it down for meetings and when I am done, have bright beautiful sunlight pouring in with about three seconds of effort. It moves up and down from top or bottom so smoothly.At this point, I cannot recommend this product enough. If it turns out to be flimsy with continual use I will update my review, but right now I am considering buying these for several other windows in our house.
