You insert the toggle through hole in drywall then pull it up against the backside of the drywall. You slide the retainer to the face of the drywall to hold it in place and snap off the plastic strips. When you attempt to install the metal bolt the toggle falls into the wall cavity. The retainer does not hold the plastic strips.

These channel anchors fall apart before you can get the bolt in then you’re left with toggle anchors in your walls. Frustrating product where the pull tabs do not lock in place so the anchor is useless.
