I wish they were slightly shorter and a bit wider but they're great. One thing to note is that the holes in the sides are for air flow and if blocked, it will cause heat loss/put out the fire. I placed them together in my grill as shown in the image and the air holes were blocked. Since this is the best way they fit in my grill, I'm considering making additional air holes. Once I realized my mistake though, I repositioned and they work really well. I like to do zone cooking in my grill so these keep the coals in place.

Height of metal side is about3.5 inches. Important if your grill plate is 5 inches from bottom of grill. If you get a 5 inch wall height, then the plate will rest on charcoal holder
