It took about 10 minutes (perhaps less for people with more dexterity) to slide the coverings over the lens. They fit snuggly and were perfectly form fitted. There's a better feel to holding the lens now as the coat has some tactile resistance. I bought it to protect the white lens from the elements as well as my hand oils. I expect it will fully serve that purpose over time.
