You get what you pay for. This item does not work well. It's not very strong. On the cheapo side.

This garlic press is cheap, both in price and quality. It comes apart for cleaning, but sometimes comes apart when in use as well. The handles are too thin, making it difficult to push the press together. Nonethelss, it does what it was made to do and I'd recommend it to someone who uses fresh garlic no more than twice a month. Any more often than that and you should invest in a better product.

the item came in broken, so needless to say that not recommended.. and it otherwise looks pretty flimsy as well.
