About this item

  • Premium scratch free car wash mitt: Keep your car clean without scratching it with this super soft microfiber car wash mitt
  • Extra plush & absorbent: You wouldn't wash your body with porcupine right, so don't do it to your car either. This wash mitt is super soft, and holds water and soap, so your wash is easier and faster
  • Double stitched elastic cuff: Tight fitting cuff keeps the mitt on your hand, not on the ground or the bottom of your bucket
  • 100 Percent machine washable: When you are done with your wash, simply add the car wash mitt to your regular wash and wash it on gentle cycle; Low heat
  • Make your microfiber last longer: We recommend washing all of your microfiber wash mitts and towels with Chemical guys microfiber wash (sold separately)

The Chenille Microfiber Premium Scratch Free Wash Mitt is made of thick microfiber strands that are woven into Big Fat Plump, caterpillar strands that are extremely absorbent to wash soaps and shampoo and non-abrasive to paint and finishes. The chubby spun strands hold loads of soapy water delivering a premium wash that lubricate the paint, reducing friction and enhancing paint. This mitt is easy to wash using your favorite detergent. Toss them right into the washing machine for easy care. Just be sure to wash them separately, to keep them lint free. As with all microfiber products, never expose them to fabric softener. Fabric softener will reduce their static properties and cause the microfiber to clean/spread less effectively. They can be line dried or machine dried on low setting, again, separately from other laundry.

It holds soap when put in a bucket and cleans quite effectively. Material is good and has not deterioated over time.

This is more of a 4.5 product, but it is good enough to go 5 due to its uses in rinseless wash. That's how I use this mitt almost exclusively. Yes, I will use this mitt with a soap and water (traditional) wash but I find the wool mitts work a little better. This mitt, however, shines (no pun intended) with the rinseless products like Optimum No Rinse. Dunk it in the water mixed with the product, go over a small area of the car, dry that area with a towel, then repeat on the rest of the car. I recommend getting several of these mitts to use in a rinseless application. I never put a "used" mitt back in the water/product solution. When I'm done I rinse it out and let it sit in a bucket until I wash them. I recommend you use a "clear" or "free" laundry detergent, cold water, and a normal cycle. Then air dry in the dryer. NEVER put any kind of microfiber in the dryer and use the regular heat cycle -- if your dryer doesn't have an air dry, just let it dry naturally.I almost never put my hand inside these mitts so the interior lining issues, to the extent there are any (just read other reviews here), isn't an issue. And so far, durability isn't one either. I've used my mitts at least once a week (often more than that) for several months and I haven't noticed any shedding or other kinds of deterioration. Cheaper, synthetic wool mitts have started shedding after about a month of use.

One awesome product we have used. We have tried various brands and this one is indeed wonderful on quality, smoothness, one of safest on Cars to take off Dirt post foaming. Much recommended product.Buy and use without worry.Don't waste it by using inside Alloys or such areas, use economical ones for that.

Very surprised by other reviewers regarding the very poor quality of their mitts. I've spent some time using this mitt and I feel it was well worth the minimal investment. Perhaps there are some serious quality control issues at play? Maybe the mitts are being made by different manufacturers? Regardless, I'll provide my .02 regarding my experiences. Let's get to it:Pros:- Extremely soft microfiber. I've used a lot of different microfiber products and I was surprised how soft this mitt was, even after several washes- The inner liner in mine was excellent. It absorbs a lot and as you wash, a gentle squeeze will release more suds than the actual yellow fibers. Awesome!- Elastic on the mitt held my hand well and securely.- Cheap!Cons:- I do question the durability, given some other reviews. Perhaps mine will go downhill as others. Wait and see. Looking closely at the fibers, I do wonder how long it will be until they unravel or get damaged.- The softness is somewhat concerning. I do believe I'll have to be taking extra care of this mitt. Not sure I'd feel comfortable just tossing it in the washing machine on a normal cycle.Overall, I'm pleased. Quality control issues might be a concern for some, but for under $10, I think it's well worth the risk.

There are two things that you can depend on in Southwest Florida. One is that you are guaranteed to squash at least a few bugs on your car every time that you take it on the highway. And the other is that there is always some road resurfacing going on somewhere. So you always end up with bug juice and fresh tar on your vehicles. It's a constant battle, especially when "love bug" season arrives in the spring and fall.I've been living here for 35 years now and have tried just about everything that might make this problem simpler to deal with. My first discovery to improve the process was to use 3D Bug Remover diluted in WARM water. The combination of the two is the best way that I've found yet to deal with this problem. And the second part of the solution was to buy this Chemical Guys Chenille Microfiber Mitt.Unlike other gloves/mitts I've tried over the years, this one stays on your hand because there's no slippery plastic inside. It fits my hand well and never gets close to slipping off. The fibers are plump and soft, eliminating the problem of scratching your paint , and yet provide enough gentle abrasion to remove the targeted bugs and tar.The keys to being successful without damaging your paint is to use lots of clean water, never drop your mitt on the ground, and rinse the mitt thoroughly and frequently. There's no sense in using it to continue cleaning if you don't get the crap out of it that you've already scrubbed off your vehicle. When I'm finished with cleaning the cars, I just rinse the mitt out and stick it on top of a broom handle to dry in the breeze. It is machine washable but all items cleaned in today's washing machines tend to give up the ghost with continued washings. So consider doing it by hand and extending the usefulness of this little bugger. Highly recommend.

PROS:> The microfiber fingers do a great job of soaking up water and suds to wash down your car – the mitt is a decent size and can get a good portion of your car each time you wipe across it. In fact, it takes in so much water that you will find your arm getting tired pretty quick. I think that speaks to the mitt’s ability to retain cleaning solution and plus gives you a nice workout at the same time!> The knitting/stitching is well-made and has gone through numerous cycles in the washer/dryer without any signs of damage> The quality of the product is very good for the priceCONS:> The cavity that you put your hand in and control the mitt with is nice and large, however combined with the product size and the weight of the water absorbed, you find your hand flopping around inside – I usually make a fist to grab on to the inside and go from there. Not a dealbreaker, but would be good to have some type of straps inside the mitt to get a better grip.OVERALL:> The Chenille Microfiber Premium Scratch-Free Wash Mitt is a durable product that gets the job done. Other than some difficulty controlling the mitt when wet, I would definitely recommend this product if you are hand washing your car.Hope you found the review helpful!- N. Boyd
