According to Amazon I have purchased a 6 pack of the Rainforest Mist twice so 12 bottles, but I used to buy them individually so I've used way more than that and have been using it for years. No matter how clean you keep the humidifier or what chemicals you use they always smell a little off putting, a little stale, a little too...moist. This won't freshen your whole house but it makes the air more pleasant near the humidifier. We use this in a whole house evaporator console type humidifier. We used to measure the cap fulls into the tank but now we just eyeball it and put a little splash in. Has no negative impact at all on the humidifier or filters that we can tell. Everything still functions like it is supposed to. Hopefully it is safe breathing this chemical since if you smell it you are breathing it. We've been using it for at least 10 years and we are fine. Doesn't seem to aggravate anyone's allergies or asthma. I have nothing negative to say about it except i wish it was cheaper. I've never tried the vanilla or apple but I'd be willing to try the vanilla if it wasn't always out of stock in the single bottles.

This product does exactly as it stated. It will not damage your humidifier. However, the description, #Splash Scents are used in the humidifier to help extend the life of the filter", I would have to argue with. There's an oily or waxy substance in it that seems to destroy the capillary ability of the wick. I would have to fill one of two 2.5 gallon tanks once a day in the winter. After I began using this product, the funky smell was gone, and I was very happy. Soon I noticed I didn't have to fill the tanks nearly as much in the same dry conditions and my humidistat would not go above 20%. Pulled the fan/control mod out and felt the wick. 80% of the upper part of the wick was bone dry. It could no longer soak water up the wick. With that said, replacement wicks are not inexpensive so use this product if that does not concern you. It does work for bad odors. (I really liked the lavender). I will just use recommended bacteriostat and a mist of Lysol in the base once in a while.Oh, and I do have a water softening system, (Minnesota), and the wick was new and did not have any scaling. The End.

The scent is not strong in fact it’s very weak…. You only smell it when you’re pouring it from the bottle to the humidifier

I bought this product to treat humidifier water and it worked. Filters which once lasted only a few days were now usable for well over a week before calcifying.

For one, there are at least three different humidifier "water treatment" products sold by BestAir. One is a bacteriostatic agent, Two is an extra-strength "treatment." and Three is the scent water treatment. Each product apparently does something different and each has a different dosing amount per unit of water. Treatment 1 apparently requires no prep to use; Two has to be shaken; Three (the scent) foams when shaken and if it's added to the water tank before adding the water. Confusing at best. Why are products 1 and 2 sold separately, but also in a combined formula? The suggested dose is measured in capfuls. It is nearly impossible to pour the treatments out of the large-mouth bottle into the thin cap without spilling a large amount of it. Because there is apparently a wetting agent in the formulas, the liquid clings to the bottle and streams down the bottle rather than into the tiny cap.Since these are expensive, mostly water, "treatments," it's disappointing that more of it is going down the drain or on the floor rather than into the cap and the humidifier. FIX: redesign the bottles with a dosing cap or detergent-type cap where it's possible to aim, stream, and measure the product without waste.Gel and concentrate the solution (like a detergent) so it's less likely to stream down the side of the bottle. Better still, use a dose-limiting cap so that the proper amount is dispensed and cannot be spilled or overdosed. Another option: use larger caps with clear legible markings of what the dose is.Another option is to package concentrated treatments into tablet or sachets or another mess-free dosing method. This eliminates most or all of the wasteful plastic used in bottles and caps -- most of which will never be recycled and end up in landfills.Laundry, dish-, hand-washing, and dishwasher detergents in tab or powder form are your go-to models for effective dosing management.Likewise, combine everything into one easy-to-use product so I don't have to have three large bottles to store, measure, and keep track of reorders (since dosing is not the same). The printed information on the back of the bottle is far too small to be legible. As to the scent, it's like no rainforest I've ever visited. It's a very sickly strong industrial scent reminiscent of what's used in airplane bathrooms. Despite the strong scent out of the bottle, no one noticed it in the house or even standing directly in front of the humidifier exhaust. So, save your money on this useless expensive scent treatment and buy some real flowers instead.

During the winter I use this for my evaporative humidifier. I don't understand the complaints of it not smelling strong enough. Of course right now in the Summer I have no use for it but for sure will be using it for the winter.

Love their treatments for humidifiers , it's the only brand I'd use. However, this product just didn't have any scent. If you put a ton of product you get a little bit of scent but nothing that lingers and you have to be very close to the humidifier to notice.

can not really smell anything with these, but they do help me with keeping the filter clean.

Bon produit, bonne odeur.. mais n'est pas assez concentré pour une humidificateur qui fournit une maison.

I received this product yesterday along with a few more from this seller. The package arrived on time and the packaging was good. I tried the apple cinnamon first but I did open this up to smell the fragrance. It was wonderful. I know that I will like it as much as the other. I will purchase from this seller again.

I like this at the add-on price and have re-ordered it. The reason I have not given it a 5 star review is because I don't think the scent lasts very long. Its either that or you just sorta get used to it and don't notice it after a while. I have a small water bottle type humidifier and I only use a cap full. You can definitely smell it for the first few hours, then it seems to dissipate. It smells warm and clean, like fresh laundry.
