Funciona pero deja la fruta muy afectada. Pero al final de cuentas es buen producto

Works great for pitting cherries. Would be nice if I could find another use for it, since it takes up space in my utensil drawer outside of cherry season.

I originally liked the design and smooth movement of the pitter, as well as the price. However, after one use, the lock switch on the bottom would keep engaging after every cherry that I removed the pit from. I would clean it well and even tried to oil it but it would still stick. Then today, while using it, the bottom part that is a sort of a cushion or guide for the cherries, broke off. It still removes the pits but it annihilates the cherries. I've had it for about 8 months and have only used it maybe 10 times so it seems like this is too soon for this to happen but you get what you pay for. Spend the extra couple of dollars and get a better made product.

Great concept that really should've worked. At first it would pit 4-5 out of six. I started to halve them to make sure the pits were removed...each time I've used it there are fewer and fewer cherries that actually get pitted. I just used it 3 times...so 18 cherries...total of 2 pits came out! Cleans up nicely and as I said, great concept it just doesn't work. I won't bother returning it. It does make them easier to halve and hand-remove the pits.

I got this tool because I am lazy and I hate fruits that have pits in them, especially Dates. While this tool is great and works like a charm, pack your patience to take each pit out! But where the tool makes life easy, especially with dates, is that I don't have to slice each date with a knife. The hand does get tiring after a while but again, I rather be inconvenienced upfront rather than while eating the fruits! Overall, very happy with it and definitely recommend it.

So, my hands did get tired however I am happy to say it works well and so far the kids haven't broken it. Currently I have my kids taking turns using this to de-pit cherries for freezing.

This is one of those kitchen gadgets that you hardly ever use, but when you do, you’re really glad you’ve got it. It’s sturdy, and well designed from a functional standpoint. For olives, you’ll probably never use it since it’s becoming increasingly rare to find a jar or can of olives that are not already pitted. One place. you may find them is in Greek olives; especially a variety in a jar. I have had jars like that that I had to take the pits out with my fingers and also used this pitter. Believe me, there’s absolutely no comparison. Not only is it a delicate and difficult job, but I was always leaving meat still on the pit. With this device, you just put it in the basket, punch it, and the pit is ejected, clean as a whistleMostly, I’ll be using this when making cherry pies from fresh cherries, - which of course, are only available for a limited time. But just like the olives, the pit is ejected easily and cleanly. An additional advantage for cherries is that the basket is large enough so that it doesn’t spray cherry juice all over your sink or counter.Don’t get me wrong; it’s still a time-consuming task, taking one olive or cherry at a time to pit them, but a fraction of the time without using it.And with virtually no waste left over.
