Depending on the size and shape of pits, they get stuck making the process take more time.

Item came ontime. But box was damaged, unit inside was not damaged. When I took it out of box and put together, my first thought was "this is not what I expected" it was very very cheaply made! You can tell just by looking at it. The container that goes inside doesn't even "close" right or "fit" right. The pitter part pulls the whole top off the container when you go try and use it and it sticks. The vacuum suction below it wouldn't even try to suction onto my counter. I bought this as a gift for my parents as they live in British Columbia and have cherry trees. Thought I'd make their life a little easier when they go to pit buckets of cherries Instead of using a hand pitter. I'm glad I opened the box to see this unit as I'd be ashamed to gift this to them. The first sentence in the description is good quality!!!.... it is not! Don't waste your money.I would like to add, trying to return this item was a night mare as I was not okay with paying for shipping to return as it would have been more than what I paid for it. I did contact seller and it took some time to reply I imagine with time difference and she had a hard time understanding English, BUT in the end she did issue me a full refund and let me keep item. So with that being said I'm giving 1 extra star for that. She did make it right in the end.
