Well made chestnut opener. Better design than others which seem to break after only a few uses. Cutting blades sit in slots that hold them firmly in place. Others just weld the blades to the body, which has quickly failed during our light use. Works excellently so far!

After trying to cut chestnuts with a small kitchen knife ( and being afraid of the knife slipping) I was pleased when I found this chestnut cutting machine on Amazon.The cutter is easy to handle and cuts a cross into the chestnuts which allows the chestnuts to cook better and also to peel easily when the chestnuts are ready to eat.I highly recommend this product.
