Oh my, this thing is awesome!!! I use to have to use forks to shred my chicken, but now with this, that’s a thing of the past. I saw this on Amazon and said there is no way this thing will work like they show. When I received it I pulled it out of the box washed it and added the 2 knobs. I then boiled some chicken took it out and placed it in the tray, put the top on, grabbed the knobs and started twisting. Just that easy and in less than a minute it was shredded. I couldn’t believe it work that easy. I simply took the top off, pulled up the clear plastic tray and poured the shredded chicken into a sauce pan. I added a little BBQ sauce, heated it up quickly and put it on a bun to enjoy. This was so fast of a process I couldn’t believe it. Cleaning up was so easy with the provided brush. I would recommend this to anyone looking to shred some chicken.

This NIEOR chicken shredder is a welcome kitchen gadget if you do make a decent amount of shredded chicken. The shredder arrives in a box and you'll have to do some light assembly. Essentially, there is a black base that has upward facing spikes. You'll need to place a plastic tray on top of the spikes so the spikes go through the holes in the tray. Then you need to put the lid with downward facing spikes on the top. You'll need to pop in the two plastic handles into the sides of the lid.To shred some chicken (also works for pork or turkey breasts) I recommend you cut up some pieces of chicken into medium sized pieces and lay them all over the thin tray in the middle. Then you put the lid on and twist the thing back and forth so the upward and downward spikes rip up the meat. It is pretty easy to twist and doesn't require a lot of force. However, you can still get some moderately sized pieces to fit in between spikes, so you occasionally have to take the lid off and reposition a couple larger pieces on the tray with a fork, put the lid back on, and twist some more to get consistently finer pieces of shredded meat. When you are done you just take the lid off, and then you can slowly lift up the tray and scrap the meat onto a plate or into a bowl. You just have to be careful because shredded meat can fall into the small holes were the upward spikes went. But it's easy to manage. Cleanup of the tray is easy. Cleaning the base and the lid requires a little more work to wash it out completely around all of those spikes. They do give you a thin brush to help you get pieces of meat out of the tiny crevasses, so that's helpful.Overall, the shredder isn't perfect, but considering it's ease of use and affordable price it's a very worthwhile investment if you find yourself shredding chicken, turkey, or pork often enough to justify the purchase.

For most of my youth, I was an avowed enemy of leafy green things, in much the same way as Superman felt about green things. I was compelled to eat them as a kid, and I rebelled when I came of age. Kryptonite to him, Kryptonite to me. But as an adult I discovered that I actually do enjoy salad, so long as it is cut into smaller pieces, and so long as it had protein such as boiled eggs, shredded chicken or blue cheese. It is the texture of such large, leafy vegetables like lettuce and cabbage which I cannot abide. Dicing them removes that impediment.I lately became acquainted with vegetable choppers like the ones made by Fullstar and Janksa, also available here on Amazon. With these, I am able to chop vegetable into fine pieces. This shredder is the missing piece, which allows me the ability to also shred my protein (meat), in this case chicken. My air fryer has presettings which make preparing chicken a breeze. This device helps me make short work of shredding the chicken and then mixing it into my finely-diced salad. It is a hard plastic oval device with a transparent top and a black bottom. It is quite large. There are spikes protruding internally in the device, which look deceptively simple. In operation, it is quite easy to use, and the chicken breast I used in testing this device was cut down to my preferred size in about seven minutes. This device is an essential piece for making salads at home.

This chicken shredder is a nice addition to my kitchen tool set. It easily shreds cooked meats like chicken, pork, and beef , saving me time and effort when preparing meals for my family. The non-slip base keeps it stable, and the rotating handles provide adequate grip for the task. It's pretty easy to clean using the included brush. It's not something I will use every day, but comes in very handy when I do need it. Haven't had it for very long, but so far, I see no reason not to award it 5 stars.

So awesome and easy to use! Bought this for shredding Costco rotisserie chicken. I put a few chunks in, placed the lid on, and then gave it a few spins. The chicken came out great! How did I live without this all these years!
