We live stream sports and needed more battery power to run the field camera, monitor and wireless transmitter so we made the switch to a V Mount and got this to plug into the battery and then feed our equipment. Works like a charm! Oh and with the mounting screw it connects to our battery mount without using Velcro. Really sweet!

Adds necessary tap ports to my setup. Even if your battery has enough ports, you may run into an issue where you can't use them all because your plugs go in the same direction. This plug alleviates that issue

This 4 port D-tap splitter works well, with well fitting female d-tap ports that a variety of d-taps items I tested fit into without being too loose or too tight. The box itself is made of an okay plastic, certainly not as robust as an aluminum housing, but not too bad for the price. It has a single, captive 1/4-20 screw for attaching to cages or something similar. The cable itself is roughly 45" long (not counting the length of the D-tap or the box itself), far too long to cleanly mount it on a camera without having a ton of extra cable hanging out. For some, this extra length may be beneficial to their particular setup, but for the primary use on a camera, it's just a bunch of needless cable that needs to get wrapped up.For the price (currently $21.99), this isn't too bad of an option to give you extra d-tap ports. I generally am only expanding on-camera ports, so the cable is way too long for my primary purposes. On the plus side, it's cheap enough that I can just keep it in my kit for those time where I suddenly find myself needing additional D-tap ports off the camera, and then I'll be glad I have it. The build quality isn't top notch, but feels robust enough that it should survive use on set.
