I have 2 cats who are notorious pantry robbers. They stand no chance against these locks. A small child certainly couldn't get past them either.You have to squeeze the sides fairly hard since it can snag on the little pad sometimes, which isn't a problem for my household but may be something for others to consider.Installation was very easy, and the adhesive is holding up well after having it on for about a week. It's basically Command strips on the backs, but in pad form. The locks themselves are durable with a very simple but effective mechanic. I think they're super worth it for only $4

These work really well others didn’t hold up. They would not stick correctly or fall off and I needed them to be very sturdy and stay where I want them so that little children can’t remove them and they work well!

This is a great safety item to have in your house when you have a little kid. It's very easy to install and works well to keep a cabinet closed (or anything else you need closed). We've had it installed for awhile now and it has been sticking well. It's not hard to open for an adult, but would be for little hands, which is exactly what you want. It's not adjustable in size, so make sure to measure that what you need it for isn't too big.
