Edited I just found another brand of 12” chairs. The description for their 12” is recommended for preschoolers. SMH. 14 inch 1-2 grade 16 in 3-4 grade and 18 in 5th and upI’m returning theseMy son is 4 and my 14 year old daughter is the size of an average 9 year old 4’2.My 4 year old fits perfectly feet on the floor, but I know this chair will not suffice at 6 years old. No way at 9 like stated.These chairs are way too small for a child that is 4’2.Very disappointed as I paid a lot and will need to get a different chair for my daughter and even more chairs in a year or so.These are 12 inches and the 14 inch back is only a little over an inch taller than the 12. No way will I get the 14 inch either.2 stars because they are sturdy and made exceptionally well. Nice and heavy, pricey for sure.I don’t recommend for any child over the age 6
