Used axe to cut up medium sized limbs to later be used for backyard campfires. It worked great, with the right balance and heft. It came sharp from the box and after using, I touched up the blade with a course sharpener and it looked good.I also ordered a sheath so the next time I can carry it easier. It appears to be about the largest axe/hatchet that I would carry in a sheath. Very good value and the handle seems more stable over wood.

I should have listened to the review that spoke about how the ax is duller and a butter knife. I would not recommend

extra long handle gives it more power for larger wood, but still short enough to hold with one hand to split smaller wood

Exactly what I expected. I can’t wait to take it outside and use it…

I love the way it looks I have it on my bed rack on my truck when I go camping I have used it twice and it works pretty good and it's a perfect size. It comes with the blade protector which is pretty cool.

To tell the truth...When I first received this item, I absolutely 100% hated this product. It was more dull than my worse butter knives. I was considering using a toothpick to hack through the wood for a better job. But, then I looked through the review and some of the pictures. I realized that the reason that it is dull, as it states in the product description, is because it's been treated with a protective coating to he prevent rust. Looking at a picture or two, I could see that through use, that coating slowly came off.I went outside and used it on a fallen tree, really just to see what would happen before I returned it. After messing around and about 20 really good whacks, the coating did come off and the blade did become nice and sharp the more I did use it. Soon, it was hacking through a two inch branch with no problem which is exactly what my needs are.Don't be deterred by the dull blade. Go out, have some fun with your new "toy" and learn to use it properly. The more you use it, the better it will get and the better you will get at using it.
