I was impressed with the look. Bought them to hang christmas stockings on my period fireplace. Very surprised that they would hold stocking filled. They fit the look of my 1800s house

These hooks are great! They are very beautiful color and great design. They can easily be bent to accommodate different sized mantels. I haven't loaded our stockings yet, but, just pulling on the stockings, the hooks are strong. Our stockings would tear before these hooks would fail.

I got these because my mantel is faux stone and not an even surface so typical stocking holders don't work. I wanted something secure enough to hold the stockings when filled. I was very pleased with the appearance as they are quite attractive. They are sturdy and were a tight fit to my mantle but I know they aren't going anywhere which is a plus. Just make sure to measure your mantel to make sure that it will accomodate the width. They do stretch but you wouldn't want to stretch it out too far!
