Forgive the mess around the tree, but star looks amazing! It does require 3 double A batteries. Had 8 different settings and operates by remote.

I have been searching for several years for a tree star to fit correctly on top of an artificial tree. This one fit the bill. It is beautiful, glittery and I didn’t have to find a place to plug it in since it is battery operated!

My second year to use it and remote don't work. Got new batteries n still didn't work.. I'm really upset, star and lights are so pretty. Don't know if I can buy a different remote?

We have a pre-lit artificial tree so if we get a light up tree topper it cannot be one with a cord. This star is perfect because it is battery operated. The battery enclosure and cord are also clear so they don't stand out, but you can easily hide it inside the tree branches and cover gaps with ornaments. I actually didn't realize it came with a remote when I purchased it, but was pleasantly surprised and it really came in handy. There are so many light options. The star is glittery too so looks great with or without the lights on. I will say that the glitter does flake off a little, but it didn't bother me since I expected it.My family and I really loved this as our tree topper. Especially my 3 1/2 year old. He always wanted to make sure I turned the star on if the tree was lit up. It really gave our tree such a nice look. Highly recommend!

Broke almost immediately.. the star and wire cone broke apart. Item did not fall or was not handled roughly. Too bad, this happened as it was a beautiful star and the twinkling lights were perfect..

I would have given this 1 star if not for the fact that my husband is handy when it comes to electronics and was able to test all the contact points and trouble shoot the issue. Thanks to him, we got this star to light. The light modes are okay... some of them are really similar to each other, and half are way too quick and strobe-like. I chose the cool blue intentionally and kind of regret it because it is VERY cool (almost blue-ish). Other than that, I did like the size (doesn't look too big on my 6' tree), the price, and the finish (silver glitter and silver beading). I was not expecting a remote, but if you are you should know that this does NOT come with a remote. The control & batter bot is only 4 or 5 inches from the star which I think is pretty short. I had to strategically place some ornaments to make the box less visible so close to the top of the tree.
