May be just a mistake made, but quality control needs to be a priority in my world. Probably could have sent them back and waited for new ones but I have no time for that and just fixed them myself. as you can see by the images these had been installed elsewhere, one they even tried to thread/tap but I drilled them all one size bigger and used completely new hardware, another $40 for chrome hardware but Guess it was worth it, looks so much better. These are not supposed to fit pre "97, but made a few modifications and they work fine. I would have rather talked to the manufacture and attempted to come to an agreement on price or something before leaving any kind of bad review, but there is no way to do this, either take time to dig out original shipping package, wrap and ship them back, or.... nothing... otherwise they could have made a discount for "used" materials or something and I could have wrote a better review, I do not have the time or resources to re-package/re-ship/wait and hope next one is better...Thank you, maybe they will contact me and we can make some changes, I really do hate to leave anyone bad feedback, but others need to know!more images of finished product coming ASAP!

Watch a quick video if you are not sure how to orient the brackets or which is a front and rearWish I had installed these 5 years ago when I bought the bike.

We are intended to use the original floorboard bolts which is fine, but the holes are not big enough for the factory bolts. Had to go buy new hardare to make it work. No big deal, but you may have to spend an extra $5.00 to make these work. Also, some instructions would be nice. Aside from those two things, I'm happy with them.

They're made of poor quality aluminum that feels like they would break fairly easily. All 4 pieces weigh about the same as 2 empty beer cans.I went ahead tried to install them anyway. They were a sloppy fit and the hardware that came with it was not the hardware you would want. Yes, you will end up shopping for proper hardware. For a proper fit I would've had to do some grinding to get the footboards to lay level. I returned them and bought some that were more expensive but made of steel. Very happy with new ones.

I knew this wouldn’t come with all the necessary hardware and had already picked up socket head bolts and nylock nuts cheaply at the hardware store.Install was effortless and took 15 minutes while I sipped my morning coffee, cleaning areas of the bike that are usually hard to get to as I went. The floorboards are much more comfortable now, my size 13s don’t feel like they are hanging off the edge of a cliff any longer. The parts are well made and I have zero concerns about longevity.I was concerned that widening an already wide Harley would make it more difficult to park my bike on the narrow motorcycle lift table I park on any time I’m at home. The width of the boards made no difference but moving them forward an inch actually made it easier to maneuver as there is a little more room where the rider’s feet are on the ground when stopped.I HIGHLY recommend these spacers over the ones that move the bracket out, those can reduce lean angle whereas these will not. I scrape floorboards regularly and whereas the brackets used to scrape about the same time as the floorboard lip, now the floorboard hits first, as it should, giving a little warning about the proximity of the frame to the asphalt.

Not a problem to install; you will need obtain two new bolts/nuts per side to complete the install. Makes a BIG difference in comfort - especially on the Air Cleaner side - I have a K&N unit that pushes the cover out about an inch. Before the install, my right leg was always up against the A/C cover. Just finished a 2,000 mile ride and this install made it much more comfortable!

I install these on a 2008 Harley Davidson Rd., King classic, it took about 15 minutes. They were really easy to install and I only needed to buy four screws which cost about three dollars.
