Decent enough quality for what it is. The finish is much nicer on this black unit then the gold one that I've tried. Would have given it five stars however the edges on the underside of the string tree were rough enough that they really trashed the silks on my strings. Fits great. These could and should be sold in a three pack.. Silver, gold, and black. Kind of overpriced for what the part is but it works. Decent value I suppose.

Yep. Its a nickle string holder downer thingy. I touched up the string guides with a needle file, for tuning stability and string life. Shipped quickly. Price was right. Yay.

The tall string tree worked perfectly for my MIM Fender Jazz Bass "A" string. It puts the correct "break angle" over the nut,and gives you better tone and tension on the"A" string. Just mount it over the "A" and "D" strings, so it just touches the "D", and pulls down on the "A" For the proper break angle. The new MIA Fender Basses have a "stealth keeper" for this.
