The lifters for firm and not spongy. from mopar.when its time to install the new rocker arm assembly, make sure to set cam gears are aligned with the marksand torque the assembly to 31 nm

There is a known issue with the rocker arm assembly in the Dodge 3.5 and 4.0 motors and finding complete rocker arm replacements can be difficult depending on the year.Unfortunately, when you look at the part number for this product, it does not list all of the models this can actually fits.If you email the company that sells them, they most likely will go by the Dodge list of approved motors.That list is, well, wrong. This part number does not show that it works for my SUV, however, when you break the individual part numbers down, they are the exact same rockers, rods, bolts, everything.I installed this on a 2011 Dodge Nitro with a 4.0L engine. I compared everything before installing and confirmed that the assembly is the same with the updates part numbers needed to correct the oiling issue.You just have to do a lot of research to confirm it will work on your year, model, and engine.Quality of the unit is as expected. The updates to the casting are noticeable and rods seem to be held in place much better then the original. Installation was smooth and I was able to find several instruction manuals online that showed the process. I would highly recommend replacing spark plugs and coils at the same time if your motor has more then 75K on it. Just get it all done at once. Install for me was 8 hours, but I was taking my time and fixing other issues along the way. If I was just focused on the rocker assembly, I would say about an hour and half per side.Part has been installed for around a thousand miles and no issues. The old rocker arm noise is mostly gone and it idles like a brand new engine. (Reminder) replace oil after 500 miles to clear out any break in material that might have come off.
