I don’t think it was mentioned, or I missed it, but the pour over part is plastic, so I won’t be using that. But the grinder is nice and comes with a pouch for travel.

This is one of those products that I honestly gave not the best expectations at first. It didnt take much and made my first cup of espresso and I was blown away! This thing is built to last, very well made. The burr is very strong and capable of grinding up a very fine and consistent espresso grind (a very hard thing to achieve). The adjustments are solid, a very solid click. VERY easy to use, and intuitive. The only reason I dont give a full 5 stars is more a picky thing of me: the handle is a little too small for me, I have relatively big hands and I think it needs a bit bigger and bit longer handle so it can have better torque. And its only for a double shot of espresso, max, so keep that in mind. Awesome value, totally worth it.

Grinds coffee decently. Is made of cheap lightweight materials, probably won't last long.

The grinder turns smoothly with adjustable coarseness. It holds about 1/4 cup of whole beans, which grinds to good amount to a full mug full of coffee with the drip #60 filter paper and plastic holder. Aside from uses as a portable grinder, this is handy when you don't want to empty your daily grinder to make a short run of a different coffee bean. Or to make coffee when the power is out for the grinder, but you can still boil water.

This review is for the CIRCLE JOY Manual Coffee Grinder with 40 Levels External Adjustment and Ceramic Burr, Portable Hand Coffee Grinder Set with Pour Over Coffee Dripper, 50 Count V60 Coffee Filters and Storage Bag.So I've never had one of these before. This seemed like a good one, or at least decent and has features I liked. Like the outside adjustability for the coffee grind and lots of choices with that. It's got a glass jar at the bottom to catch the grinds, the body seems stout and fits well in my small hand, the handle fits on well and it turns easily and it all feels good when it's working, it's not like sloppy and loose. I hope that makes sense LOL.But I just recently got a new expresso machine, so this is perfect for me to test it out with it! This comes with a nice little storage bag so breaks down nicely to pack it for travel, camping, RV, can lay flat in a drawer... it comes with a pack of filters and a plastic pour over cup setup which I prob won't use here at home as I have a french press coffee maker, a stovetop perk, the expresso machine now...Only time and use will tell how this perrforms for the long haul. But I think it's good for an economical first one.Regular price $ 19.99 per the listing. As I said I'll have to use this more, see how long it lasts... Do I need to have 1 priced higher to get a good one? IDK LOL. So as I always say, watch for saless/coupons, browse listings... and find your best deal.As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

I’m a bit of a coffee nut!I didn’t have a handheld grinder, and it was time.I had been replenishing my emergency supplies and thought that this smallish grinder I would be a good non electric addition. I make Vietnamese coffee using an Phin each morning and prefer a fine grind which I tried successfully with this hand grinder.(both compact the Phin and grinder are small enough for travel). The grinder is easy to set for course or fine grind and the handle turns easily. I was a little surprised at the ease and fine grind it produced.

For $20 this is a ridiculously good deal and will make an outstanding cup of coffee that will rival setups 10X the cost - full stop.25+ years ago, I was a competitive Barista and worked at a coffee roasting facility. Once I finished college, left that industry and went into the professional workforce in IT, I kept roasting coffee as a home roaster and haven’t stopped since. As my career progressed and my disposable income increased - I started to buy top of the line five figure commercial equipment (roasters, double boiler espresso machines, giant 100lb grinders, super autos, you name it) - so I think it’s reasonable to say I’m a coffee snob. When I saw this setup for $20 I laughed and jumped on it, thinking it would be fun to try out and complain about. I was right on the former, wrong on the latter. This setup is surprisingly excellent and would make an exceptional kit for travel or occasional use and comes with travel bags, two hand cranks, the grinder, a glass grind cup/catch, a plastic filter holder, a thick stack of brown filters and a cleaning brush for the grinder. For the perfect pour over all you need are good/fresh coffee beans, filtered water, a water boiler (ideally temp controlled), a scale and a cup - and you’ll be able to nearly rival the best pour over from internationally recognized coffee shops. While one reviewer knocked it for being lightweight and for the filter holder being plastic - these are actually positives in my book, as they make for a superb travel set, and the plastic filter holder doesn’t absorb heat - thus you can brew at more precise temperatures without concern from the ceramic absorbing heat and causing inconsistent extractions. Now - this will have a defined lifespan, and based on the plastic housing and overall (very acceptable) build quality - this isn’t a legacy piece that will last generations - and isn’t something you’d repair if it had an issue in the future, but seriously this is $20! I wouldn’t expect to use it daily and get decades of use out of it, but I’ve used it every day for about a week, and I get the impression it would last at least a few years of daily use for one person if treated properly and maintained. Did I mention this was $20?I used a cheap food scale (what I figured most folks would have available at home) set the grinder to 21, weighed out 17 grams of home roasted Brazil Mogiana Guaxupe then using the provided filters and filter holder added 228 grams of 200F water. The results were superb. This is not a $200+ grinder, and the grind isn’t perfectly consistent, and I’ve found lower settings more effective at pour over (setting 15-17 on mine) but I’ve provided a photo of the grind results of the grinder set to 21 - and for $20, it’s very good, and the vast majority of non-coffee geeks won’t be able to tell a difference in taste between this and higher end options.Bottom line - for $20 this is an incredibly effective kit, and would make an amazing and lightweight travel setup you wouldn’t lose sleep over if it was damaged, lost or left behind by accident in your travels. It is also a great setup to make your own cup of pour over coffee at work, or as your daily setup for a few years before the blades dulled or a part broke. Best yet, it’s fun to use and the light weight grinder provides more haptic feedback than heavy metal hand crank grinders - which I actually find quite pleasant.

If you're not in a hurry, this will work for you. It takes like a hundred (small exaggeration) cranks to grind enough coffee to fill the small bowl at the bottom. That being said, it does work properly and does a good job. The drip coffee maker included is imho too small to use for regular coffee.
