I needed a hitch to tow 1,000 gallon water tanks behind my Explorer, and this works perfectly. I also purchased a 1" hole diameter rubber washer to put on top of the hitch so the tank doesn't bounce around quite as much. One thing is the decorative plastic cap that came with the hitch (fits over the bracket when the hitch is removed), is too small so doesn't fit my bracket.
