I purchased the Saekodive Classic underwater light within the past year and have had nothing but frustration with it. From the beginning, it was difficult to get the light to work unless I tightened the cap excessively. Unfortunately, this excessive tightening eventually caused the cap to break—right before I was about to take it into the sea. While the light itself is bright, that's hardly a redeeming factor when the product's durability is so poor. I now find myself without a functional underwater light, which defeats the entire purpose of purchasing this product in the first place.I’ll be attempting to return it, but I would not recommend this light to anyone who needs a reliable underwater tool.

I was underwhelmed with this product. First, the directions are pretty tough to follow. Not super important, but still wasn't the best first impression. The way you add batteries is interesting, as their is a little plastic piece that has to come off, and then there is a "conductive" battery that needs to be added. So, basically they used a 4 AA battery holder, but only needed 3 AA batteries. In fact, it warns that 4 will destroy it.... so... why not make this with the right sized battery holder? or make the conductive battery stay attached? Just seems cheap.Additionally, there was another review commenting on how they couldn't get it to work. Well, the same thing happened to me. I tried like 4 different combinations of the batteries (thinking I was miss interpreting the instructions). Finally, I realized that the issue is the cap can't be screwed on super tight. If I had it screwed just passed the point "of being loose", it would work.I tested this in the bathtub, and it was waterproof. I won't get a chance to dive with it for another couple months. I am not super confident that it will survive based on the way the cap screws in. I'll update this review if it does. That said, it IS very bright.

I can't speak to the light part... because I could never get it to light up. I've got a BUNCH of flashlights around here and this is the first time I've gotten one that I had to actually fight. It comes with instructions that are almost english... and mentioned the conduction battery being important to use along with 3 AA batteries. Easy enough... Has a sticker on the inside showing the arrangement of the batteries... Ok... So I put 2 brand new batteries on one side, slid the conduction one in on the other side with the 3rd battery. Then you have this very cheap plastic piece that sits on top of those with all the conductive parts for the lamp element. It doesn't sit in there all that great but I managed to get it into place and screw the top on. Figured out the locking switch setup and then.... nothing. Figured maybe I got the batteries wrong (maybe they flipped the sticker?) so I changed them up and still... nothing.Took the plastic piece out that sits on top of the batteries and realized there is a gap between the metal that contacts the batteries and the metal that the lamp should hit. There's like 2mm between them... no way this would ever work. I tried forcing the issue with some pliers but that didn't really want to stay together. Even if it did the way the switch works doesn't appear to move that cheap plastic piece far enough to make contact with the lamp.I've had $20 flashlights better built than this one... NOT a piece of equipment you want.
