I cut them with a combo of pruning shears and scissors. Not too tough. I had some minor splitting/cracking from cutting but it's not noticeable once on the window sill. Unfortunately I have a lot of sills to cover and some claw damage has already been done but these seem like they will prevent any further damage and I don't think they look bad or are too noticeable. If there is a classy way to cover window sills, this is probably it. I have wide sills and am putting them over stained wood and painted wood. The instructions state that a hairdryer will loosen the adhesive so that's what I'll use when they need to be removed to prevent damage.

I think it is great. Installation waseasy and they look good. Our dogloves to look out our windows andwe don’t have to worry about clawmarks on our sills

Wish I’d got this years ago! Put a stop to the window sill scarring when Spaniel goes into melt down at window cleaner, postman, delivery chap….

The Claw guard certainly stopped our dog from scratching the windowsill.

Very poor quality. Has been on my windowsill for just a couple of weeks and has lost stickiness and just falls off. I would expect something like this to last longer than a couple of weeks

After 6months of having 3 installed, one has started to rip itself off the sill,.taking the paint with it.

This product is very durable and looks great on my newly refinished oak window sills. My exuberant Weimaraner/Lab/German Shepherd can’t remove it from the sill, and can no longer mark it with his nails. Fairly easy to cut-to-fit and easy to install.

This was exactly what I had been looking for to help protect my window sills.I gave a very enthusiastic, nosey and sharp-nailed Welsh Terrier who loves to investigate all noises from the backyard.To help protect my sills we tried this option and it works like a dream.It’s not glamorous or “pretty” but it gets the job done. I will say that the Clawguard is not very noticeable unless you’re up close.Overall very happy with this product for what it’s intended to do.
