I like the style of the honey jar, but the lid is very loose. It would be nice to have a plastic inset that would make the wood lid air-tight (except for the cut-out for the honey dipper).

I’m sorry, I really wanted this to work. When I purchased it, it only had 24 reviews and I decided to give it a shot. This is not an air tight product. I live in the south by a river. There is no way this product would keep out insects, it would only attract them. If you DON’T live in a climate where you have to worry about such things, or if this is to be something used for something other than food then yes, I would recommend it. The only positive thing I can say is that it is cute.
