The CG12 DSG features the same address shape and premium ZIP Grooves spin technology as the CG12 but also includes a tour inspired Dynamic Sole Grind. The leading portion of the sole is narrow with a high bounce angle – allowing square faced shots to play like a Standard Bounce wedge. The Trailing Edge Sole Grind provides Low Bounce performance on open faced shots by lowering the leading edge. The combination of both sole features allows players to hit high and soft touch shots with ease without sacrificing square faced performance.

The CG12 DSG Wedge combines the benefits of Zip Groove Technology and Dynamic Sole Grind (DSG). The DSG allows square-faced shots to play like a standard bounce wedge. The leading portion of the sole is narrow with a high bounce angle, while the trailing edge sole grind provides low bounce performance on open-faced shots due to its lower leading edge. This combination of sole features allows players to hit high and soft touch shots with ease.
Breakthrough ZIP Groove technology on the CG12 DSG Wedge offers optimized consistency, distance control, and spin on every shot. Zip Grooves are 25 percent bigger than standard grooves. On each CG12 Wedge, the grooves are milled to maximum conforming dimensions using a proprietary CNC mill bit to create envelope-stretching geometry for added shot consistency. The milling technology of Zip Grooves creates a larger groove volume, which channels more debris at impact than traditional grooves. This milling optimizes spin on each and every shot--making the CG12 DSG Wedges with Zip Grooves perfect for players who expect optimal spin and distance control.
The absolute integrity of Zip Grooves is maintained by the application of a proprietary coating to each groove for protection during the face sandblasting process. The resulting Zip Grooves are pristine and shiny, making Zip Grooves Cleveland Golf's biggest, most consistent, precise, and visible wedge technology to date.
The CG12 DSG Wedge features the RTG+ finish. Inspired by tour players who prefer clubs with a softer feel and reduced glare at address, this oil-coated finish provides an initial rust-like appearance without having to wait for the rusting that will take place over time. Depending on the climate conditions that the club is exposed to, the RTG+ finish will wear off after 3 to 5 rounds of play at the sole and face of club.Over time, the RTG+ finish will completely rust over. Each time the club is put in play, the rust will wear off again at impact locations, mainly the sole and face, leaving the wedge with enhanced texture, enhanced feel, and reduced glare at address.
