My hvac unit was running the blower fan constantly and was flashing 5 times.Troubleshooting all the sensors came up empty so I pull the board out and it was visibly burnt.Bought this and while not a direct drop in, I drilled out the original bracket to fit, it functions perfectly.

I ordered this 50A50-241 control board to repair my old York furnace. When it arrived, the box and board both said 50A56-956 on them. I searched online for quite awhile trying to see if the number had been superseded, but could not find any information at all. So I ordered another one, and when it arrived the bag was labeled with the correct 50A50-241, but the control board itself was the 50A56-956 just like the last one. Having spent too long in freezing temperatures with a furnace on the fritz, I decided to attempt installing this board. Other than the mounting holes not lining up as others have noted, it worked just fine. The wires with plugs clipped right in, but the locations/labels on the individual wires were different so some mechanical aptitude is advised for installation.

As others mentioned, it does not say this exact model on the replacement but it is a fit that works. I called Emerson tech support to verify and they said yes. I also walked through what it looked like was the proper transition because they are slightly different in labeling and they confirm as well. Tip, call that number on the box if you need, they can be helpful. The differences were the neutrals section is not labeled like the original and doesn’t matter which you out them on. Neutral is neutral is neutral. The other thing to notice is a spot for a 2 stage cool with 2 connections, low cool and high cool. With a single stage cool, just connect to high cool. The other one to note was 2 line connections on the new board and just put on line 1.Lastly, be sure to keep the plastic pegs in as the keep the board from touching the metal plate which will blow that 3 amp fuse. No big deal but could be frustrating. Drilling two new holes in the plate to mount is the way to go.This has saved me at least another season or two of spending thousands on a new unit. So far, the furnace is working perfect and feels more comfortable in the house than has been in a long time.I ordered another for my other unit that I believe is going out soon too.

Like others have mentioned, my furnace was randomly turning on the blower, even with the thermostat set to OFF. It would throw a code, "Flame - heat not commanded." It would also randomly keep the blower running after a heat cycle for an hour, with the same code being thrown. Did the cheap sensors first with no change. Had the furnace guy come out and of course, the furnace behaved itself. So, I ordered this board, installed it, and the furnace wouldn't operate. Returning this for a replacement, hoping there was something wrong with it. Have the old board back in to have heat in the mean time. I will also chime in with everyone else's complaints...make your own template to drill the holes.

Took some studying of the diagram to see where the neutrals went, but less than an hour total for the install and it fired right up without an issue. Saved me a lot of money and headache.

My 25-year-old York Diamond 80 furnace ran with cool air all day even when I switched to STOP, and AUTO FAN. I replaced the thermostat, the ignitor, the flame sensor, and the high limit switch, but it still didn't work. So I ordered this 50A50-241 control board. At first, I was worried because the included instructions document says 50A56-956, I finally took a chance. It took 45 minutes for this old clumsy man to replace. Some wires were straight forward, and some I had to guess. The lower screw holes were not matching, but I managed to secure the board in place. The furnace is now functioning well. It will take time, but I would be happy if it would last for at least a year since I know I will need a new furnace eventually, but it saved me thousands to do it now.

Only drawback is that it takes some electrical know how to attach wires. This board is not an exact match. (But for the price , it’s worth it) My York Daimond 80 furnace works perfect now. Had to drill new holes to mount the unit. Bottom Line… IT WORKS!!

Installed on a 1996 York Diamond 90. With a life expectancy of sixteen years for a furnace. Did not want to spend any more than I had to. This was half the price of an original Rogers White control board. Used the original sheet metal mounting bracket. Did have to drill two new lower holes to snap in the lower plastic peg's. Finding the correct place for the wires was a little time consuming. Most of the wires were straight forward. But different labeling than the original. Don't know about long term , but it is working today. I am happy with it so far.Update: 5/8/2023 It has been five months since I installed the new circuit board. The furnace runs like a brand new unit. It is still performing exactly as it should. Thank you.
