Good carabiners, gave them a test fit on 2 1in straps I plan on using to lift 80lb plates. Only thing screw lock seems like it's made of aluminum, but for the price I couldn't pass them up. With the wt rating stamped on them I should be fine to use.

I use these kinds of carabiners for all kinds of hunting, hiking, camping, and off road uses. I get the heaviest rating I can at the time to add flexibility in the use of my tools when I am off the beaten path. Also, it is easier to keep the pack weight down if you pack stronger gear rather than more gear. This is suitable for climbing but I have not tested it as such. Aside from that, it does very well to hold and clamp all my gear for any hike or venture off the beaten path. I am sure if I get stranded during a natural disaster, these can help ensure safety or a rescue. Always go larger than you need.

The Climbing Carabiner Clips, Large Carabiner Heavy Duty, 25KN Locking Carabiners are great for climbing or rigging. They are sturdy, durable and hold a lot of weight with no worries of failure. I like using them to connect lifting straps and cables due to their strength and smooth finish. They don't cause frays and abrasions even under the heaviest of loads. The knurled spin nuts operate very well and keep the gate locked securely. I'm very satisfied with these 25KN Locking Carabiners and consider them an outstanding value in climbing and rigging equipment!

Overall these are great carabiners that I plan to use around the house and yard for hauling and moving large objects etc. They are great, feel very sturdy and heavy duty. They are a bit larger than I would have initially thought, maybe 3-4" long. My only concern with them is the gate doesn't feel very smooth and sharp or rough corners on a device meant to hold a load on a rope should not have any remotely sharp/rough edges which could cause wear on the rope. The gate also doesn't fully cover the open end so I wonder how strong it is when closed. Regardless, these won't be used to support a person so they should work more than well enough for my needs.

Right now these steel carabiners are saving my life as i hang 30 ft. up a large palm tree.I'm slowly 'disassembling' a palm tree that has grown too big for our property.These carabiners are larger than other carabiners I have and are really heavy-duty. The spring loaded locking catch works well and I've had zero issues connecting and locking them to my harness.They are rated at 25Kn or 5600 lbs. of force.They are also ASTM F1774-20 Certified - which is very reassuring to me as I lean back in my harness - with a linesman strap around the tree trunk....hands-free.They'wowrk really well and I feel a sense of security during their use.Recommended.

Sometimes the most important thing about a product, especially ones whose failure becomes a matter of life and death, is the certification process. Climbing equipment certainly falls into that category.Carabiners that are rated this high are either a steel or aluminum alloy. These are steel, so they weigh close to 3 times what aluminum ones weigh. They are full ovals, instead of being more "egg" shaped, which for my use (as connectors in a resistance workout set up) will be better. They are the one hand open type. While I obviously don't need this amount of strength, I couldn't see using ones rated at say, 300 lbs.They have a very clean, shiny finish on them, not sure if it's plating or not. The spring has a good tension to it.
