Not the best carpet tape I have used but it works. Hard to peel off the non stick side but once you get it started it's ok. You might want try tweezers. I used it to tape down a small rug at the kitchen to living room doorway where all the crap that gets on the kitchen floor gets tracked into the dining room. It has not come loose after two weeks of high t raffick. I pulled it up to adjust the rug and it stuck back down with no problem. Of course you want to thoroughly vacuum/ clean the area you are going use the tape on.

I have a handful needed to keep some area rugs in the garage from constantly moving around, one on a slab of concrete step-up and the other carpet samples sitting on top of a large carpeted area, the latter always getting moved around by the front tire of the car every time we parked it. I was a bit skeptical that this tape would work, as it felt so thin, but it’s been doing a fantastic job so far. And you don’t feel the tape whatsoever when you walk on the carpet, no doubt due to it’s thickness (thinness). There has been no movement of any of the carpet pieces, even the carpet-on-carpet pieces that the car tire used move daily. And finally, no more tripping on the carpet on the concrete step, I’ll tell you what.I cut 4 strips and placed them around the perimeter of the underside of each carpet piece, removed the backing, then flipped the carpet over and positioned it where I wanted. Then I proceeded to walk all over the carpet to press it down as best I could. The most difficult part of the process was trying to initially peel the tape backing. For that, I suggest a nice fingernail. But once you start it, the backing removes very easily. Also, I should mention that I used a pair of scissors to cut the tape, and after cutting 12 lengths of tape there was some sticky residue left on the scissor blades. I removed the residue with some rubbing alcohol, which worked, but I think a product like Goo Gone or Goof Off would have removed the residue much more easily.Lastly, I have not tried removing the tape from the carpet pieces, nor have I checked to see if it’s left any residue since I want the carpet pieces right where they are and don’t plan on moving them. So I can’t comment on what would happen if you applied this to an area rug on top of a wood floor.

Strictly apply it for carpets use. I really wish this thing would work for some other materials but it drives me crazy. Fabric to wood no good, balloon to fabric no good, fabric to fabric no good. Fabric to carpet is okay. Also, it's very sticky to plastic bags and wrapping papers.

Fixed my dog toting the entry rug around the house with him. I stick this to tile and holds well but easy enough to peel off when you want.

Carpet tape arrived quickly and it was very sticky, which was good, to hold down unsafe carpet. It gave me a piece of mind. Best part is that its removeable if I change my mind. Good quality and durable. Fast shipped.

Got this for a carpet under my dad's desk that kept moving. Bad mistake. First, it's difficult to unroll and even more difficult to get the protective paper off the tape. And once the paper was off, I couldn't get it to stick to the carpet, I had to estimate where the tape should be, apply it to the floor (where it did stick) and then stick the carpet to it.And, after all that work, it didn't stick. When he rolled the chair off the carpet, getting back onto the carpet unstuck the tape.Save your money, buy another brand.

I recently bought some area rugs to put down in my kitchen and I needed to tape them down. This double-sided carpet tape was perfect for my needs. And it sticks well to the fabric on the back of the rugs. It also sticks well to the floor. It's very easy to apply a strip to the back of the rug. I had a little bit of trouble cutting it with a scissors because it's so sticky. But it cuts pretty well. Maybe it would be better to cut it with a razor tool.My one frustration with it was that it was a little difficult to peel off the backing once I got it attached to the back of the carpet. I felt like I needed long nails to pry the backing off of the tape without pulling the tape up. I don't know if there's some trick to doing it. But once I got it started it pulled off easily. And then once I got the rugs taped down to the floor, they seem to stick really well. I got the rugs because I use a wheeled desk chair to get around in my kitchen, which was damaging the floor. And so far the rugs are staying in place even with me wheeling around on the chair. So other than the difficulty in peeling off the backing, this is a really good product and was perfect for my needs.Update 12/26/24: I finally discovered that if I took a razor tool and held it sideways, that I could pry the backing off with the edge of the razor blade. It still took a few tries but it worked better than trying to do it with my fingers.

Our stairs in the house have carpet treads that had adhesive backing. But, the adhesive backing didn't last long and the treads started moving around. This double-sided carpet tape was the perfect solution to reattached the carpet treads to the stairs. Now, one week later, they still haven't moved around!
