My cat and the family cat hated this. It's not steam but rather a mist. It also makes a slight spraying sound which freaks the cats out after a few brushes.However, in the few brushes, we did get a good amount of their excess fur off and it worked well. It's too bad, because the concept and usability is great. I liked that the brush handle could fold out (despite it being a little flimsy). The silicone tips seem very gentle and my cats usually love that but combined with them moisture and sound, it was a no-go.

This is a fantastic product. I bought this one for my son for his dog and he loves it. The dog doesn't always like to be brushed but he enjoys this and doesn't mind the mist. It removes lots of fur and doesn't blow all over the yard.

Three-year old male short-haired tolerated the brushing. Got a good amount of hair off. Our younger 6-month female long-haired kitten couldn't keep still with it. She'll have to get accustomed to it. One issue with the cats is the steam comes from what seems to be a sonic device so it's cold vapor, but the hissing sound makes them alert. Otherwise, it was great to see the hair that was able to be captured.
