Aluminum Servo Relocation/Front Bumper Mount for Redcat GEN8
This is a Servo Relocation Mount to correct the steering geometry.
By centering the servo in the ideal location between the frame rail, panhard link ( track bar ) will parallel to the drag link. It will "totally eliminate" the bump steer, hence greatly reduce body roll while steering.
It will work with the stock steering links but you'll have to mount the drag link from the servo horn to the knuckle end of the tie rod, instead of the original stock position.

I put this on a GEN 8 Axe and it did reduce bump steer, but also reduced total steering angle. There is probably a way to get full steering angle, but you will have to buy a new steering link or do some other modifications. Also, zero instructions. For the price it is definitely not worth it. After messing with it and not wanting to buy a new link, I took it off.

Fit perfect, stiffened up the front end of the GEN8. Did help with bump steer, but I also installed Club5’s steering linkage. It’s also a nice looking piece. I will say I have roughly a millimeter of clearance between this and the terminal of a Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster Sport.

It seems to reduce the bump steering. But you will need to mount the arm from the servo to the steering knuckle, which will add height to the knuckle lever and in some cases could rub your tires. So you will need to also get Treal wider axle stub kit to fix that induced problem.

Just a quick note for anyone looking to put this in a redcat gen 8 with the factory motor. I'm not sure if it is only mine but the back edge of the relocation mount is not only touching the negative terminal on the factory motor, but pushing it up a little bit. It is probably ok for now but I don't like the stress on the terminal and I suspect it will eventually cause problems. I'm going to pull the motor and see if I can get enough play in the mounts to alleviate a bit of the stress and will update the review if I can make it work.

Doesn’t fit with a crawl master motor. Stuck with return shipping so Looks like I’ll just try to sell it to someone with a stock motor.
