Used the 6mm bit for making some tables and everything worked well. After approximately 50 mortises everything seems to be as good as new. If I decide to buy some of the larger bits, I will choose CMT due to the price and experience with this one so far.

Great value from a recognised quality manufacturer. Price compared to pukka Festool item is unbelievable.

I am a professional cabinetmaker. My three dominos have run thousands and thousands of holes. I recently finally wore out both the original 5mm bits that came with the kits and had to replace them. I know how to properly use the tools. Festool prices are always absurd, so i will try any alternative, but the CMT bits are junk. After less than ten holes one bit broke. Then the second bit broke on the first hole! Didn't even try the third. Guess we are stuck with the festool bits for now.

This bit that I received measures 5.94mm a far cry from the 5 mm expected.

Cuts proper 5mm mortise, Festool was too tight and left me sanding down dominos to fit. Great Value.

Have gone through a couple of each of Festool and CMT bits and think maybe the Festool bits might have lasted slightly longer before getting dull, but the CMT are still a better deal at nearly half the price. Will continue to use the CMT bits and certainly recommend them as a less expensive alternative.

Anyone who owns a Festool products knows about premium pricing. The CMT bit works just as well as the Festool and is about half the price. A great alternative.
