I want to start out by saying I beieve in the CMT tool line. There quality in product design and tooling is commendable, but this time, I've been delayed, having to let the product sets unused, while I await the sellers responce.CMT has to put focus on their competitive bottom line, but in doing so, they have lost focus in product dependability and building a proper packaging system based on the needs of the product and product users.F100 knives slipped out of their foam slot, causing noticeable damage to both the cutterhead, and the nearest knife in the neighboring slot. The F100 knives themselves appear undamaged, but I don't have a scope right Infront of me to check. I believe there are at least 4 contributing factors:1. Poor handling, possibly not, but there was enough jostling occurring, to cause multiple points of impact between steal & alluminium, and steal on steal, the F106 knife took the blunt of the damage, as it has multiple displaced edges and burs on the blade, and this is from just a visual/tactile inspection, no need to even scope it, it's toast.2. Poor package lableing, despite to the fact that precisely machined parts were inside.3. Shipping package was too big, which added to the effect of movements within the product case4. Poor case design from CMT, the lid foam could be thicker, and firmer as a quick fix, But they should reconsider their packaging layout. There is still a lot of room in that case they can find use for.The knives are too close together, which can cost a bandaid or two, and putting that much metal and sharp edges in one case, should at least wax the edges. As far as the quality in the product tooling and finish, the set appears to be well machined with the exception of one nitpick. The edge work in the set screw wells, have the appearance of being dremeled by hand, and there were a couple burs, which were painted over, so not as a result of the shipping damage. My advice, if you do decide to buy this, carefully inspect the knives and cutter head first.
